Dans un film de Jacques Tati que j’aime beaucoup, Playtime, on trouve cette allusion à la branche d’arbre comme graphique : il y a dans l’une des maisons, accrochée au-dessus d’un sofa, une estampe
japonaise qui comporte une branche d’arbre et qui exprime, il me semble, la réussite du propriétaire de cet appartement. Je pense que les "Graphiques Poétiques" ont un peu ce mouvement-là, c’est-à-dire
qu’ils parlent aussi de la personne qui pourrait les acheter et les mettrait chez elle."

“In Playtime, a movie by Jacques Tati, there is an allusion to a tree branch as a graph: In one of the houses, above a sofa, there is a Japanese engraving featuring a tree branch which, in my opinion, symbolizes the flat owner’s success. I think that “Poetic graphs” have that movement, meaning they all talk about the person who could buy them and hang them at home.”
