Dans "Edouard aux Mains d'Argent", Tim Burton avait très bien résumé les rapports entre l'artiste, l'oeuvre et le système commercial en intervenant sur le logo de la Century Fox, juste avant le générique du film.

"D'où elle vient la neige?" est ainsi issu du cadre qui détermine la possibilité même de l'existence d'une oeuvre.

L'agence d'artiste du CCC de Tours a alors produit et diffusé ce motif de cristaux de neige, une trame critaline illimitée, un graphisme appliqué à l'espace pour parvenir, comme en peinture, à geler un mouvement.

In Edward Scissor Hands, Tim Burton beautifully summed up the relationship between the artist, the work of art and the commercial system, showing artificial snow falling on the 20th Century Fox logo just before the film’s credits. D'où elle vient la neige ?(Where Does Snow Come from ?) is a curtain of varying sizes made up of motifs in the shape of stainless steel crystals. The curtain represents a crystalline texture, a visual style applied to space.
